Combining the Ultimate Fan Experience with Social Media
Major League Baseball teamed up with Qualcomm to capitalize on a new trend in the world of sports; "fantasking". The campaign's goal was to showcase the endless possibilites a connected ballpark brings to the fan experience, utilizing feeds from different social media networks including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The "Fantasking" campaign allowed users to upload a photo using the relevant hashtag on Instagram or uploading directly to the application, and enter to win a trip to Opening Day at their favorite ballpark. The campaign was marketed online and in TV spots across the nation, funneling users to the online application built by Social Media 180.
